Dash Finishing School was established in Melbourne, Australia in the year 2016 as an initiative to encourage self-development and personality enhancement for Teens & Adults. We offer workshops & programs that aim to enrich every aspect of a participant’s personality, creativity and appearance thereby making them versatile and well presented individuals.

Our workshops & programs include ‘Finishing & Deportment Program’ (includes Social Etiquette, International Dining Etiquette, Art of Communication, Body Language-poise-posture-deportment, Hosting & Entertaining, Image & Dress codes and Afternoon Tea Etiquette), ‘Beauty & Styling Program’ (Makeup, Hairstyling, Personal Styling). We also offer creative workshops such as the ‘Art of Gift Wrapping’ & ‘Chocolate Making’. Our programs are suitable for Adults & Teens. The upcoming programs include Pre-teen & Children’s Finishing & Deportment Program, Corporate Image & Etiquette and Personal Branding.

The workshops & programs are designed to be exciting, interactive and extremely personalized. They are primarily practical in nature to give participants a hands-on experience in learning. In-class teaching methods are adapted to suit individual style & perception. Batch sizes are kept small and exclusive to ensure that each and every participant gets the attention that they deserve.

Devyani Joon

Founder & Principal Consultant

Devyani Joon is a Certified International Etiquette Consultant with a Masters Degree in International Business. She is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Dash Finishing School. Devyani conceptualised the business idea in the year 2011 and since then has held Etiquette, Finishing & Deportment trainings in Australia & India. She has also been trained & certified in UK as an ‘International Youth Etiquette Consultant’ specialising in cross-cultural facets that give today’s children and teens the competitive advantage in everyday life, at school and their future career. The programs she delivers are applicable in Europe, Asia, Africa, America, The Middle East and Latin America. Devyani has travelled extensively to over 60 countries in pursuit of observing etiquette, protocol and culture. She is a national reference for contemporary global etiquette and with the credentials of the ‘International Etiquette & Protocol Academy of London (Minding Manners)’ you can be certain of the most international, reliable and captivating etiquette training obtainable. Devyani has been featured in national publications & radio in Australia such as Herald Sun, ABC News, The Weekly Review, ABC Radio Hobart.

Denise Dalgliesh

Personal Stylist

Denise Dalgliesh, Personal Stylist, has more than 20 years of experience in fashion-related roles. She has previously worked at Myer as an Executive Assistant to the GM of the Women’s Apparel Buying Office as well as roles in the Myer Fashion Studio (which is Myer’s fashion forecasting service). She graduated from her studies in Fashion Design and Technology and thereafter ran her own fashion studio for a period of ten years, creating made-to-measure bridal and formal wear.  Denise is passionate about helping men and women feel and look their best.  With experience in corporate environments, as well as fashion, she is well-placed to advise upon the positive impact of exceptional personal presentation and styling, on both personal and professional development.

JUSTINE SAMPIMON

Hair & Makeup Artist

Justine is a qualified makeup artist, hair stylist and spray tan technician with more than 5 years experience. Since she was a young girl Justine has always had a passion for all things hair, makeup and beauty and loves working with people so it was only natural she followed her passion later in life when the opportunity arose. Having completed her studies at some of Melbourne's top makeup academies such as the Academy of Makeup & Elite Hair & Makeup; Justine's career sees her currently working in the industry freelancing doing bridal and special occasions including Spring Racing Carnival, TV networks, runway shows and teaching Makeup & Hairstyling workshops at DASH and other studios. Justine's creative flair doesn't stop with makeup artistry and hair styling, she also teaches the Art of Gift Wrapping workshops at DASH.

Shazra AbdeeN

Hair & Makeup Artist

Shazra is a qualified Makeup Artist with 5 years of experience and has been trained under Makeup Artist and Educator, Sara Morrison. Her passion for makeup grew at a very young age. She focuses on natural makeup, wanting to enhance inner beauty. She believes that makeup should not change the way one looks! She takes Makeup and Hairstyling workshops at DASH.

SETH ARORA

Marketing & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Seth Arora is a Marketing and Operations Director at Dash Finishing School. After spending a decade working in sales and marketing roles for Multinational companies, he understands what it takes to be successful in the sales world. He graduated from Deakin University with Majors in Accounting, Finance and Financial Planning. Initially starting out his life as an accountant, he directed his corporate life towards his people skills and found himself in various Sales and Marketing roles. Seth has consistently delivered to the highest standards be it best in class sales performance or leading and motivating both high performance operational and sales teams. He strongly believes that the short workshops and programs conducted at DASH are an added advantage for individuals in their daily social and corporate life.
